HEART SHIFTERS THAT WILL WORK

1. Really believe that JESUS is absolutely trustworthy in everything HE says about Eternity and Himself.
2. Believe that the WORD OF GOD is true , alive , active & sharper than any two-edged sword, & that we do know the end of the story , it is all in the book of REVELATION.
3. FORGIVE when others hurt you , FORGIVE quickly because you will release yourself and the offender when you give your hurt to JESUS , He can handle it and cast it where it belongs , in hell. MATTHEW 6: 9-15
4.Keep loving JESUS, which will then will help you to love other people, & see them & yourself as He sees them and yourself.
5.Choose to allow the barrenness turn into fruitfulness in your life JOHN 15:1-8
6. Know that you are fearfully & wonderfully made," all the days were ordained for you before any one of them came to be."PSALM139
7. Stand up for that which is right, pure , holy and of GOD , become an AMBASSADOR OF HIS HOLINESS TODAY!
8.Learn to be ACCOUNTABLE for your choices , words , actions , thoughts and behaviour.
9. Find a truely authentic Christian who is more mature in the faith and ask these people to pray for you , and even share with you what they have learned from JESUS.
10. Know that no matter who you are , what family you come from or how confused you may feel
JESUS & HIS AUTHENTIC DISCIPLES LOVE YOU .

LET US ALL CELEBRATE WHEN ANY CHRIST CENTRED CHURCH SUCCEEDS IN ADVANCING GOD'S KINGDOM

Ther have been many churches that I have visited since I first became a Christian some 30 years ago, and I have really been inspired & challenged when I have seen many miraculous events occur at some churches I have been in attendance at . I have been really excited when I have seen people , many people running to worship ( as if their very lives ) depended upon it. Twenty two years ago I went to visit in SEOUL , KOREA : Paul Yongghi Cho's church where I saw that it was possible this side of eternity to have thousands , upon thousands of people hungry, desperate for the presence of God . This Vision has stayed with me , as has many other times where the presence of God has in large & small gatherings done amazingly, miraculous events in our midst. I really find it unbelievable that any one who truely loves Jesus with all their heart , would desire to bring down another CHRIST-CENTRED DENOMINATION simply because it doesn't fit one's own perception of how WORSHIP should occur, how structure should happen etc,etc.Today I am thankful that I am a Christian who is called to be a Salvation Army Officer , however, over 27 years of ministry I have attempted to be humble enough to realise the obvious : that there are many other churches (including what some label as "mega - churches'') who are doing a great work for the Kingdom of God and I would dare not ever attempt to exalt any denomination above another , in order to make oneself look "successful", ( whatever that means). Let us rejoice both in The Salvation Army & beyond when JESUS is lifted up , people are saved ,SPIRIT -FILLED & ready for service. I have always believed that The Spirit Of God has no favourites when it comes to achieving HIS purposes, and He blesses whom He chooses as He chooses. Let us make sure we don't miss out on what the Lord requires of us. And please don't fall into the trap of bringing down what God has birthed in other faithful servants hearts . I believe God looks at the heart, holiness & willingness to be obedient to His perfect will , that in Kingdom language is SUCCESS . Be careful dear friends we don't critcise GOD'S ANOINTED , APPOINTED PEOPLE....there are serious consequences to that kind of criticism.HEBREWS 10:19-39. Just may we as God's people please be faithful to what Jesus requires of us !!!!!!May I never become like the Pharisees who accused so many others & missed their own self-righteousness, ''JESUS , HELP US ALL TO BE LIKE YOU. INSTEAD OF LOOKING TO BRING OTHERS DOWN".

GOD'S SOLDIERS ..... SHOES OF PEACE

I conclude my thoughts today from EPHESIANS 6:10-18 with the presence and being able to carry the shoes of the Gospel Of Peace. I accept God's declaration that I am justified and I have peace with the Lord Jesus Christ.May my mind grasp that wonderful sense of release & refreshment of knowing the peace that can only come from THE PRINCE OF PEACE (JESUS)! I thank-you Lord that I need not carry any anxiety or suffer any turmoil or inner torment because you know exactly my circumstances & situation in life , right now!May you walk with me into every circumstance of life & may I know the JOY, PEACE & LOVE that can only come from you. May all who know the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour be agents of your peace , as seen through JESUS. By faith walk in the peace , given by God , even though we live in a world that is fractured and often in turmoil. If today you do not know the peace of Jesus , I can only pray that you will reach out to JESUS & ask Him to fill you with all of His life , Salvation , presence, power
& peace .
There can never be PEACE when there is still a sense of I am a"self-made" person! Without the grace of JESUS none of us would even wake up tomorrow. God bless you each readers!

GOD'S SOLDIERS CALLED TO ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Another piece of non-negotiable armour for those who are in the battle field for GOD'S KINGDOM:The Helmet of Salvation!
Today take up the helmet of Salvation & recognise that your (my ) SALVATION can only be found in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. I cover my mind with Him, I desire that He put His mind within me, let my thoughts be His thoughts, let His love for a lost & broken world be my love. I replace my own self-centred, carnal reactions & thought processes to the mind of CHRIST. Grant me ( all ) who call on the name of Jesus the wisdom to discern thoughts that come from mere intellectual double talk , if you really want to check out God's opinion on this I encourage you to read COLOSSIANS CHAPTER 2 in 'THE MESSAGE BIBLE'.Open my heart to love your WORD , to speak it, breathe it , live it , help me to lay up your WORD in my heart that I might not sin against you O GOD!May Your Word be ever over my mind like a helmet of strength, which satan's projected thoughts cannot , will not penetrate . Forgive me for ever neglecting this piece of spiritual ARMOUR and I just praise you JESUS for dying for me and indeed a whole world that we all may be SAVED through your precious blood . I freely place by faith your HELMET OF SALVATION upon my whole being.

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT: Continue to lay hold of THe Sword of The Spirit , the WORD of GOD. Learn to embrace it's inerrant message of truth & power. Humbly ask The Holy Spirit to guide you into true understanding of the message of The WORD. Grant to me the discipline& dedication to memorise the LIVING WORD , & to saturate my mind , body & spirit with it's truth & power. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ & by the ministry of The Holy Spirit, grant to me the wisdom to always apply the WORD OF GOD in every situation I find myself in. May I use the Word as JESUS did when the enemy of darkness attempts to defer, distract, delay and destruct God's perfect will for my life. Hebrews 4:12-13 says it all :"FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING & ACTIVE.SHARPER THAN ANY DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD, IT PENETRATES EVEN TO DIVIDING SOUL & SPIRIT,JOINTS AND MARROW, IT JUDGES THE THOUGHTS & ATTITUDES OF THE HEART. v.13. NOTHING IN ALL CREATION IS HIDDEN FROM GOD'S SIGHT. EVERYTHING IS UNCOVERED & LAID BARE BEFORE THE EYES OF HIM TO WHOM WE MUST GIVE ACCOUNT." By the way the WORD OF GOD stands alone and God watches over His word to perform it in all creation. So be very careful when you criticise , abuse or disbelieve the power of the WORD OF GOD!

GOD'S SOLDIERS LIFTING UP THE SHIELD OF FAITH

Today I continue on with the Spiritual Warfare thoughts from Ephesians 6 : 10-18. I take by FAITH the protection of the SHIELD OF FAITH. I count upon Your holy presence to surround me like a capsule, offering total protection from all of satan's flaming arrows. Grant me the grace to accept Your refining purpose in allowing any of satan's arrows to pass through the shield, and to even praise you for your constant presence in the storm. Help me to concentrate upon Your peace, presence and purpose and not upon the enemy's arrows. In the name of Jesus Christ , I claim the protection of the Holy Spirit to guard and shield me from the assaults of satan's (lost) kingdom. May The Holy Spirit & His Holy angels be present to intervene, divert , and thwart the strategies of satan to harm us in body , mind & spirit, including our precious families & churches . I appropriate & apprehend the victory of THE BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST and hold it against the advances of the enemy, wherever they come from within or without.Finally I leave with you verses from HEBREWS 10:35-39 ''SO DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR CONFIDENCE, IT WILL BE RICHLY REWARDED. (keep reading these verses in your own Bible), v.38 ''BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE WILL LIVE BY FAITH, & IF WE SHRINK BACK I WILL NOT BE PLEASED WITH THEM ."

Following on with the Armour of God that we are invited to have as a non-negotiable in our weapons of LOVE, GRACE & TRUTH. Today I will write a prayer on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS as contained in Ephesians 6 :14 : Today Lord I repudiate any dependence I may have upon my own goodness or self-righteousness , which will not do in the eyes of God, nor will it be effective to combat the forces of darkness. I in Jesus' name embrace God's righteouness that is mine by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I look to the HOLY SPIRIT to be effecting righteous actions , pure thoughts, and holy attitudes in my life. I hold up the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ to defeat any temptation that comes my way on any given day and this will defeat satan's attempts to distract, delay, defer or destroy my being effective for the Kingdom of God today & any day to come. I affirm that my victory is won and lived out by my Saviour. I eagerly ask and expect that the Lord Jesus Christ shall live His righteousness through me. Through the precious blood of Jesus , cleanse me from all my sins of omission and commission. Let me walk in a HOLY and CLEAN manner that honours God and defeats the world , the flesh and the devil.Help me to believe with all my heart your Word which reminds me to confess any & every unholy action, word or deed on a regular basis : PSALM 51 and really if I sin as 1 Corinthians 10 ;12-13 it is because I have made a choice to do so . Help me to keep in that place where I long for the breastplate of righteousness on a daily basis and may there be VICTORY for your GLORY.

GOD'S SOLDIERS AT WAR ....YOU ARE NEEDED

I t constantly amazes me that there are so many people who don't understand the very real fact that Christians are in a Spiritual Battle, and that the enemy of our souls is constantly advancing his cause of death, destruction , and diversion from what the Lord Jesus has won through the Cross & His Resurrection life. Ephesians 6:10-18 is quite clear about what is required of those who are in this Spiritual battle and similarly what we are dealing with , in the realm of the forces of darkness.
Soldiers of Jesus Christ please understand we are called to live above the realm of maintenance in our walk with JESUS .We are actually called to ADVANCE the CAUSE of CHRIST! So today I will begin a series of PRAYERS using the armour that has been given to us from God's Holy Spirit: 1. THE BELT OF TRUTH : In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I claim the protection of the BELT OF TRUTH, having buckled it securely around my waist. I pray the protection of the belt of truth over my personal life, my home & family & the ministry God has appointed for my life. I use the belt of TRUTH directly against satan & his kingdom of darkness. I aggressively embrace JESUS who is TRUTH, the Lord JESUS CHRIST is my strength & protection from all of satan's deceptions.I desire that the truth of God's Word shall constantly gain a deeper place in my life. I pray that the truth of the WORD of God may be my heart's delight to study & memorize. Forgive me for my sins of not speaking the truth , as you would speak it! Show me any way in which I am being deceived. By the Holy Spirit of truth, open the SCRIPTURES to my understanding & guide me into the practical understanding of His Word's of truth. I ask the Holy Spirit to warn me before I listen to , believe, or speak words that are not GOD'S TRUTH. Deliver me from believing satan's lies & half truths ( the same strategy he used with Jesus in the wilderness & in the garden of eden). Thank -you for providing this part of the armour of God, I take it gratefully & desire to have an ever deepening understanding of its protection through your power. Help me to be planted in your Church which preaches your BIBLICAL TRUTH and may I always be a vessel that conveys your truth in grace."For those of us who are soldiers in The Salvation Army we do believe as stated in our first Doctrine ( which are immutable ) THAT THE SCRIPTURES OF THE OLD & NEW TESTAMENT WERE GIVEN TO US BY THE INSPIRATION OF GOD AND THAT THEY ONLY CONSTITUTE THE DIVINE RULE OF CHRISTIAN FAITH & PRACTICE.

YOU WILL ALWAYS FALL THE WAY YOU LEAN SPIRITUALLY, EMOTIONALLY , PHYSICALLY

Today I want to encourage you to press into JESUS, His Word, His love, His call !The greatest gift of love to God is being wholly sold out to His perfect will , not as a dutiful task , rather as a token of your love for Him . Jesus is so totally worthy of your utmost love and attention. Matthew6: 19-24 says many confronting statements , all out of Jesus own mouth , i.e v.21 'FOR WHERE TOUR TREASURE IS , THERE YOUR HEART WILL ALSO BE.'' & V.24 ''NO-ONE CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS, EITHER YOU WILL HATE THE ONE & LOVE THE OTHER , OR YOU WILL BE DEVOTED TO THE ONE & DESPISE THE OTHER. YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD & MONEY." We all fall the way we lean , we all cannot (not) tell that which we hold dear , it seaps out of our very core being , our D.N.A is spread for all to hear , feel , think, visualise. Even, silence can be totally deafening ! Where your mind goes is where you will follow. What you transparently believe , really does influence your choices , and even when you think you are "playing" with other peoples' minds , you are actually making more of a statement about yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for me I actually believe in the power, presence, and vision from God's Holy Spirit ( no not my own thoughts ) His mind , His will , His purpose , His commandments , which by the way are not the 'GREAT OPTIONS' ,they are the TEN COMMANDMENTS, and Jesus himself made a few more non-negotiables if you actually choose to be His Disciple, in the New Testament. Please
just be open to Jesus , and this will become the parachute that will save your & many other lives.
By the way if you would like to hear accounts of modern day miracles just let me know , I have quite a list to share with whoever.

May you know grace, peace and Holy Ghost presence in your life today ! If you need comfort I pray that you receive it, if you need disturbance from the Spirit of God I can only pray that you receive this in His love today!
You are safe when you press into Jesus , I have a healthy respect to not step away from that posture!

GOD IS A RESPECTOR OF HIS BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES

Today I want to share an important Biblical understanding that I need to remember and maybe some thought provoking ideas for others to pray about.
1. We all need to pray for a constant "fresh revelation'' from the Holy Spirit in our own lives and the life of the Bride of Christ.
2.God is a respector of His holy standards :PURITY
3.It is God's definition of FAITH that counts not our own.Hebrews 11
4.Jesus longs for HOLY INTIMACY from us not our intellectual or emotional rhetoric on any given subject.
5.The Lord God Almighty honours His WORD above all others.PSALM119
6.JESUS invites us to a life of reckless abandonment , not cozy pigeon religion!
Please Read 1 CORINTHIANS 1:18-31 answers alot of our presumptious opinions.
Verse 18-19 'FOR THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS FOOLISHNESS TO THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING , BUT TO US WHO ARE BEING SAVED IT IS THE POWER OF GOD". v.19 "FOR IT IS WRITTEN :"I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE; THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE INTELLIGENT I WILL FRUSTRATE."
Please keep reading these verses and remember just when you & I think that we have God all "boxed -up" , He keeps breaking out ...........just look at the life of JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I for one am grateful that I cannot make God to be small and comfortable for ME.......how tragic if we settled for such a bland religious experience.
REMEMBER YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT JESUS IS GOING TO DO NEXT......HALLELUJAH!

THE VISION .....YES FROM GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT

This vision will be , it will come ,it will come soon. How do we know ? Because this is the longing of all creation, the groaning of The Spirit of God!
My tomorrow is His today, and my(our)feeble , whispered , faithless prayers invoke a thunderous , resounding , bone-shaking great "AMEN'' from countless angels, from heroes of the Faith, from Jesus Himself. And Jesus is the great Vision caster, the ultimate winner ........guaranteed at CALVARY, RESURRECTION flows from His throne and still there for those who dare to believe in HIS miracles , in fact not only believe.......actually depend on them.
1 CORINTHIANS 2 , dear friends enjoy the intellectual challenges of these WORDS of TRUTH.
Verse 9 says : NO EYE HAS SEEN NO EAR HAS HEARD , NO MIND CONCEIVED WHAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM, v.10 BUT GOD HAS REVEALED IT TO US BY HIS SPIRIT.....HOLY SPIRIT" Believe it & receive it with the urgency of a dying man or woman. It will be to your peril and a lost world if you ignore the WISDOM & VISION from God!!!!!!!!!

THE VISION ...........MORE TO PRAY AND DO!

Please read and reflect the continuing part of the Vision ! The source is God the Father , Jesus the Saviour of the World & The Holy Spirit. And thank God people like Pete Greig actually listen , I encourage all ( myself included to do the same)!
They don't need fame for names. Instead they grin quietly upwards and hear the crowds chanting again & again:"COME ON." And this is the sound of the underground , the whisper of history in the making, foundations shaking, revolutionaries dreaming once again. Mystery is scheming in whispers, conspiracy is breathing ....This is the sound of the underground. And the army is a DISCIPLE(in)ED-different people who beat their bodies in submission. Every soldier would take a bullet for his/her comrade at arms. The tattoo on their backs boasts"FOR ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST & TO DIE IS GAIN."Sacrifice fuels the fire of victory in their upward eyes. Winners. Matyrs. Who can stop them? Can hormones hold them back? Can failure succeed? Can fear scare them or death kill them? And the generation prays like a dying man with groans beyond talking, with warrior cries, sulpheric tears and great barrow loads of laughter. Waiting. Watching:24_7_365. Whatever it takes they will give: shaking mediocrity from its cozy little (anon) hide, laying down their rights & their precious little wrongs, laughing at labels, fasting essentials. The advertisers cannot mold them. Hollywood cannot hold them. Peer pressure is powerless to shake their resolve . They are incredibly cool, dangerously attractive (on the inside). On the outside?They hardly care!
They wear clothes like costumes: to communicate and celebrate but never hide. Would they surrender their image and their popularity? They would lay down their very lives, swap seats with the man on death row, guilty as hell: a throne for the electric chair. With blood & sweat and many tears, with sleepless nights and fruitless days, they pray as if it all depends on God and live as if it all depends on them. Their DNA chooses JESUS (He breathes out, they breathe in). Their subconscious sings.
These people have had a blood tranfusion with JESUS. Their words make demons scream in shopping malls(& I might add on blog posts). Don't you hear them coming? Herald the weirdoes! Summon the losers & the freaks. Here come the frightened & forgotten with fire in their eyes.
Their prayers summon the HOUND OF HEAVEN & invoke the ancient dream of Eden. And this VISION will be.
I pray that when you read this post that The Holy Spirit ignites, excites & energises you into action for Jesus' sake!
May your life , words , prayers be like HOLY FIRE , because your obedience to JESUS , His Words are activated in your life like HOLY LIGHTENING.

THE VISION GIVEN FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT

Dear Readers ,
Today I will commence (by request) a God inspired vision that I shared at the Territorial Candidates week-end (1st June). I will be writing this over at least a week and can only pray that this will ignite, excite, challenge you , as it does me! Remember Jesus'grace is more than sufficient for any calling that is upon your life, and mine!!!!I am so totally in holy love with Jesus and I pray that you are too.
First entry:''What's the Vision? What's the big idea?" I opened my mouth, and the words came out like this ............THE VISION? The vision is JESUS: obsessively,dangerously,undeniably JESUS. The vision is an ARMY of people-lots of different types of people. You see bones?I see an ARMY. And they are free from materialism-they laugh at 9-5little prisons. They could eat caviar on Monday & crusts on Tuesday they would not even notice. They know the meaning of the Matrix, the way the west is won. They are mobile like the wind, they belong to the nations, they need no passport.
People write their addresses in pencil and wonder at their strange existence. They are FREE yet they are slaves of the hurting, dirty & dying.
What is the VISION? The vision is HOLINESS that hurts the eyes, it makes children laugh and adults angry. It gave up the game of minimum, mediocre integrity long ago to reach for the stars. This vision scorns the god of entertainment ,soft ,comfortable living and strains for the best.
It is dangerously pure. Light flickers from every secret motive, every private conversation. It loves people away from their suicide leaps, their mind playing satan games. This is an ARMY that would lay down its' life for the CAUSE of JESUS CHRIST.
A million times a day its' soldiers choose to lose that they might one day win in the great 'WELL DONE' of fathful sons & daughters.
Such heroes are as radical on Monday morning as Sunday night!

The carriers and essence of this Vision are people who love Jesus more than their own life ,if they were required to give up their life for this Vision ,they would, they do !

PRAISE JESUS FOR CHANGE , EMBRACE HIS LEADING

I have discovered that many people are in favour of progress. Quite often it is CHANGE that many struggle with. I believe one of the reasons many do not embrace CHANGE is because CHANGE is such an emotionally intensive event. We need to be careful that when we reject change that we are not giving permission for architectual decay to commence . One of the most prominent places which rejects renewal, revival, and recreation is a cemetry.(think about this before you react)! If we as human beings, let alone Disciples always do what has been done , we will always get what we have always had. The definition of insanity is doing the same actions over & over again, but expecting different results. An apostolic ethos is a "movement" ethos ....ever expanding, CHANGING & adapting to new opportunities & new challenges. A movement recruits & raises up leaders: it creates new ways to connect with the world around it ; there is innovation and pacesetting for how one approaches the challenges in this time of history. Moving with The Holy Spirit requires an open heart, mind & spirit to the new paradigms and new ways of connecting with a lost world, even with a sleeping church! Anyone who truly flows in the life of God's Spirit will keep increasing the ceiling of their dreams & visions , basically because there is no ceiling to the work & presence of The Holy Spirit in your life. NOW is the time to allow The Holy Spirit to lead you to be His Change agent , for the glory of God & the Salvation of the world. JOHN 3;6-8 READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Verse 6"THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE FLESH IS FLESH, & THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE SPRIT IS SPIRIT."....v.8''THE WIND BLOWS WHERE IT WISHES& YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF IT, BUT CANNOT TELL WHERE IT COMES FROM AND WHERE IT GOES. SO IS EVERYONE WHO IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT."
