In recent days I have sensed that there is an atmosphere of the 'NOT NOW'.....(sometime maybe but not now thank-you).Imagine if the early disciples had given Jesus a delayed response to His compelling calling upon their lives! What potentially could have been the outcomes? No learning from the Master , no "spirit -filled'' early church, no blessing for these very critical witnesses of the Resurrection, no visions of the powerful healings, no immense love seen at the cross......and where would we have ever heard the Gospel if not from these obedient men & women of God.We today could learn alot from the immediacy of the first disciples response to Jesus. In fact I would suggest if we don't run with this same sense of purpose , fervour , passion and loving obedience to the call of Jesus upon our own lives......the world will not be impacted, the Great Commission will not be fulfilled and souls will continue to go into a CHRISTLESS ETERNITY!
Don't be lulled into the "not now syndrome", it is a cancerous spiritual disease that needs great attention. If you are not convinced about this read with me : MARK 1:14-20.....read it & reread it until you are arrested by there IMMEDIATE OBEDIENCE......v.17" COME FOLLOW ME, JESUS SAID, "AND I WILL MAKE YOU FISHERS OF MEN. v.18 AT ONCE ...AT ONCE THEY LEFT THEIR NETS AND FOLLOWED JESUS." v.20 'WITHOUT DELAY HE CALLED THEM, & THEY LEFT THEIR FATHER ZEBEDEE IN THE BOAT WITH THE HIRED MEN & FOLLOWED JESUS."
