. FAITHFULNESS to all ... This Christmas & beyond keep your promises . Make your debtors not regret their trust in you. Your associates not question your word. Your husband/ wife will not need to question your love & your children will never have fear of you NOT coming home. GIVE FAITHFULNESS.











.GENTLENESS to all .....Realise again nothing is won by bullying or force, give a gentle spirit to others. If you raise your voice may it only be in praise. If you clench your fists may it only be in prayer . If you make demands may it only be of yourself. GIVE GENTLENESS .







CLEAN HANDS & A PURE HEART ... Give others the gift of your obedience to transparent, holy living . In this sin-sick world this one will possibly be a 'more than welcome gift' for many . Speak with God's righteousness , choose holy lifestyle standards of living , 'BE HOLY , AS I AM HOLY.. SAYS THE LORD.''



GIVE GOD'S HOLINESS .... many will be so grateful for being in your sphere of influence .







. SELF CONTROL... Give others the gift in your own life of a self-controlled spirit. Self control in your bodily appetites , self-control in your angry outbursts, self-control in your gossip, criticism , judgemental comments. GIVE THE GIFT OF YOUR OWN SELF-CONTROL.

UNDERSTAND THE ENEMY'S STRATEGIES AGAINST THOSE WHO WOULD LIVE FOR JESUS.

Imagine if you were satan .... how would you attack the church of JESUS CHRIST ?
This is not a great thought , but a necessary one! Understand that as Ephesians 6 : 10-12 reminds us we are in a spiritual war . The message puts it this way " ...This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll away from & forget about in a couple of hours.This is for keeps , a life- or- death fight to the finish against the devil & all his angels."

REFLECT FOR A MOMENT :
If I were the devil , I would..............
Attack the family backbone of any & every nation, I would make divorce acceptable, easy & fashionable, because if the family crumbles so does the nation.

I would convince people that right & wrong are determined by a few who call themselves authorities & refer to their agenda as politically correct.

I would dull the minds of God's people + make them believe PRAYER is an option  and that faithfulness & obedience is up for negotiation.

I would convince & compel people to express their most depraved fantasies on canvas & movie screens, & I would call it freedom of expression .. even art..............
If I were the devil, I would............


Persuade people that the Church is irrelevant & out of date & the Bible is only for the simpleminded , deluded souls who have no education........

I would attack all of these things and more, ever so slowly , so as not to arouse the anger of Spirit-filled christians  . I would do this effectively so that by the time they realise what is happening it would be in fact far too late & in reality I would have strategically achieved my one main goal ......

to render the BODY OF CHRIST  powerless & ineffective.

You are JESUS' representatives on earth .......how do you plan to combat in the spiritual realm this enemy in JESUS' NAME ???

SPIRITUAL WARFRAE IS INEVITABLE FOR THE AUTHENTIC DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

Spiritual Warfare is inevitable & unavoidable if you are determoned to totally live for JESUS, and being ignorant of this or trying to ignore this subject won't make it cease or lessen in assault.
Therefore, we must learn to battle with supernatural authority;
. The safest place in this battle is at JESUS' feet and walking in His authority.
.Never allow anyone or anything distract , delay , defer or deter from God's call on your life .
.When we refuse to back down in fear the enemy of our souls becomes terrified.
.Submission 7 obedience to JESUS is your best defense , offense & weapon in your favour.
.Remember ... THE GATES OF HELL WILL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST THE ARMY OF THE LORD........................!
. Claim it , remind yourself daily that through JESUS you are VICTORIOUS .

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD LIVING & THE SELF-CENTRED KNGDOM OF DARKNESS

God gives us all a choice : to consider ourselves 'divine'n& to say 'my will be done' or to submit to the love & calling of God upon our lives & be  open to say 'THY WILL BE DONE'. The amazing paradox of the latter is that we find ourselves & gain freedom as never before. Jesus wants the very best for us in our lives & it is we  who deny ourselves quite alot ( in  fact very much) if we choose to control our own destinies.
There are two  distinctly different poems that articulate accurately the complete difference between self & ego centricity , compared to JESUS being invited to be LORD of our lives .

THE WORLD SAYS WIN AT ANY COST .....JESUS SAYS SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Win at all costs, be first , no-one cares who comes second, winners are grinners and losers .....well really 'who cares'. Our kids are raised listening to these values and they like us believe them to be truth . The pressure to win in every aspect of our existence is the call of the kingdom of darkness ..... a call NEVER satisfied, for a win is only celebrated until the next contest . The culture of winning reinforces the dominance of SELF & EGO...... the value of self strength ,self power , dominance over another or others . Think about it , it is subliminal but reality.

The Kingdom of God is so different to this ethos , so opposite , with JESUS what really matters is the quiet , deliberate intentional promotion of others before self , the ga,me is celebrated , the players are applauded ...... NOT the score . Think how releasing that is .... I can place myself last & congratulate others performance over & above mine. Friends the CROSS stands out as the ultimate victory over EGO ... SELF.... SIN .... SATAN.

Next time you find yourself celebrating because someone else lost in order for you to win , check to see how much of your EGO & FLESH & SELF is really still alive , this is serious business my friends .... just check out people's responses at the latest AFL grand final , you know what I am saying is right .

JESUS calls us to something far greater in Him than winning the game of life : in JOHN 3:30 "HE (JESUS ) MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE- HE MUST GROW MORE & MORE PROMINENT, I MUST GROW LESS & LESS ".

You will find release in being VICTORIOUS IN CHRIST instead of your own (dare I say it ) puny , self effort .

TAKE THE CHALLENGE OF ALLOWING JESUS & OTHERS FIRST PLACE ABOVE YOURSELF & SEE WHAT HAPPENS .

PURPOSEFUL SPIRITUAL FASTING

Why fast ??

One really great reason to fast is to keep oneself HUMBLE , David said , "I humbled my soul with fasting"( Psalm 35:13). Humility is not an emotion, not something vague, rather it is something very specific.God will not honour an arrogant or a 'full of self' person , His call for His people is to willingly humble themselves, then He promises to lift us up. If we have the right motives with the right heart when we fast before God we move into this place of gracious humility. If you need some extra Biblical reinforcement read Matthew 23:12 "And whoever exalts themselves will be humbled, & they who humble themselves will be exalted."

Another really great reason to fast is that we may come CLOSER to God. The Word says that if we "draw near to God , He will draw near to you."(James 4:8), it is always a good thing to draw closer to God and fasting propels you into His presence like few other experiences I know!

Yet another reason to submit to fasting before God is that we may KNOW HIS WORD & WILL more clearly. Ezra said , ''I proclaimed a fast there , at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God to seek a right way for us, & for our little ones & for all our substance."
Ezra 8 :21. It is gracious truth that when we take time to fast & ptray , in humility , seeking God's direction, we receive what we pray for . We then of course need the courage to OBEY.( another sermon).
Finally fasting can be a spiritual discipline that God calls us to in order to receive healing & deliverance, Isaiah 58:6-9 "........then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily & your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard."Similarly deliverance can come and indeed needs to come for many people before they can move onto renewal , Jesus said in Matthew 17:21 "...this kind does not go out except by prayer & fasting.".
Finally (today) Jesus Himself entered into His ministry of healing and deliverance with forty days of prayer and fasting ...... that really ought to be enough for those who call themselves disciples of Jesus .

Praying this brings some helpful encouragement for you .

WHEN YOU FAST... NOT IF

Over the next few days I want to share a little teaching on biblical fasting and the power that this spiritual discipline brings .To commence this subject and provide a brief overview of some of the teaching I will give you some dot points now .
.Fasting is helpful in the process of humbling ourselves.
.In order to come closer to God and to hear the voice of The Holy Spirit.
.Fasting helps us understand the power , authority and validity of God's Word.
. To seek out God's perfect will ... not just His permissive will .
.Fasting helps us in seeking healing , deliverance, clarification over life circumstances .
. Fasting & repentance is the base line of God honouring our lives as we seek His face.
.Fasting is a great intercessory mode of prayer for others who really need the power of Jesus to intervene in life's circumstances.
.Fasting & prayer will always bring a response from God , not to be used as a manipulation tool , rather a pressing into the grace , mercy , love & presence of JESUS . His answers may not always line up exactly as we want , BUT they will always fall in line with His Kingdom priorities .
Please read Matthew 6 :1-18 .... notice the emphasis on WHEN YOU PRAY ... WHEN YOU FAST ... WHEN YOU PRAY .. WHEN YOU FAST ( Not if )

Praying for friends today

STORMS.... HOLY FIRE....VIPERS....VICTORY

If you did a study of ACTS 27:39-28:5 you would read an amazing journey for Paul that included shipwreck, escape, fires , vipers and so much more . To say the least Paul's experience was one of great challenge and yet Jesus brought deliverance and great blessings despite the offenses , challenges and obstructions put before him . Today I want to encourage you in regard to your own journey :
When you choose to serve Jesus with All your heart , mind & spirit storms will come( Acts 27:13-20).
After fasting & praying ANSWERS will abound, (Acts 27:21-25), obedience is still required (Acts 27:27-38), deliverance will be your inheritance ( Acts 27 : 39-44).
Fires need to be created with sticks that need to be picked up ( Acts 28:1-3)sticks of holiness,praise,prayer,faith,discipleship,holy passion,tithing, fasting , obedience witnessing and so many more.
Holy fire will also bring the snakes out ....(Acts 28:3)the enemy of our soul will always bite the hand that feeds holy fire. Snakes bite & attack when their territory is threatened . SELAH !

But Jesus calls us to shake off the vipers in our journey and keep stoking the fires of revival( Acts 28:5-6). Our natural reaction maybe to withdraw our hands from the fires around us ..God calls you to stay the course ... NO RETREATING , HELL DEFEATING!

Today pray like there is no tomorrow , witness as to dead men & women , live in a state of holiness that brings tears to the hardest heart and be humble as Jesus will do His best yet work in you.

PRAYING REVIVAL FOR ALL READERS .

LET YOUR COVENANTAL DECREE BE ESTABLISHED ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

Job 22:28 says 'DECREE A THING & IT SHALL BE ESTABLISHED..."
The powerful Word of God is well able to profoundly influence your life. In Christ you have an eternal & unbreakable covenant, All of God's promises are 'YES & AMEN'(2 Corinthians 1:20) to you !. Daily confession of the Word in the name of JESUS will strengthen your inner man & prepare you for every good work. Entrust yourself to Jesus , the WORD , The Father & The Holy Spirit and watch the decrees of God work amazing miracles for His glory and healing for a sin-sick world.

THE "WHEN YOU ."... IS WHAT JESUS CALLS US TO

If you would like to have a look at Matthew 6 :1-18 you would find there some statements by JESUS that are a call to obedience from us :

VERSE 3 "When you DO a charitable deed.."
VERSE 5 '' When you PRAY..."
VERSE 6 "When you PRAY..."
VERSE 7 "When you PRAY...."
VERSE 14 " When you FORGIVE...."

VERSE 17 ''When you FAST....."


I think you get the message , Jesus imagines that we WILL fast, we WILL pray , we WILL forgive, we WILL do charitable , gracious deeds . There is no provision anywhere in Jesus' words or ministry that settled for IF we prayed ... IF we fasted ... IF we were to forgive.

Today study this Scripture , be obedient and walk in the power of the WHEN........

DON'T ALLOW 'DREAM CRUSHERS' TO ROB YOU OF THE VISION JESUS HAS PLACED IN YOUR HEART , MIND , SPIRIT.

Watch for these symptoms of sabotage,
around you when it comes to fulfilling your God-given dream :
*Doubt that God can fulfill His plans for your life,
* When people start telling you to 'be realistic' or to 'get real' beware,
*When you start scaling down what you know The Holy Spirit has told you to aim for,
*Allowing significant others to speak to you from their flesh rather than asking them to speak with faith into your spirit,
* Failing to hedge all of God's plans laid before you with prayer & confirmation from the "WORD",
*Seeking out consciously or subconsciously reasons why you should abort a Holy Spirit given dream,
* Listening to other people's opinions rather than God's Word,
* Wearying yourself with "works" rather than faithful , love filled obedience ,


Today STOP...LOOK ...KEEP LISTENING TO THE VOICE OF JESUS & SIMPLY OBEY

God's plan needs you !

STAY CONNECTED TO JESUS IN EVERY WAY ... BODY -MIND & SPIRIT

There are places in all of our lives that really are dangerous when it comes to our devotion to the Lord Jesus.
Places that we don't belong as a disciple of Jesus Christ , locations spiritually , emotionally and even physically, .
It involves relationships ,places of leisure , media viewing , and much much more .
The reality is that the enemy of our soul makes it abundantly easy to walk away from Jesus , and before we realise we have shipwrecked our lives on the islands of compromise , disobedience , prayerlessness , slackness , attitudinal sin , unforgiveness , doubt , wilful sin cynacism ,arrogance and much, much more.
Today stay free of the quicksand of sin .....bring your relationships , your computer time , your leisure /sporting seasons , study material, book reading , worship times , use of your tongue , plus everything else under the blood of Jesus.Seek His mind , His heart , His Word, His light, His love , His perspective in everything you say , do and plan for .

Ask yourself : 'IS JESUS GLORIFIED BY ME BEING INVOLVED IN THIS ???????' And then of course have the courage to hear the TRUTHFUL response .
Be willing to REPENT - RENOUNCE-BREAK & RENEW any and every area that is offensive to the HOLY SPIRIT. And watch Jesus bring revival into your life and the lives of people around you.

WHERE/WHO IS YOUR PASSION DIRECTED TO?

I am amazed at how excited people become when a topic they value is brought up , dare I use the example of 'football' or music or ?????????
My question to my readers today is : Where or to whom is your passion directed ? If you are not sure ask the people in your life , family , friends , work mates , extended family etc...etc
These are the people who will have a great idea about what 'flicks your switch' or what creates passion in your life, simply because they observe you , listen to you , see the visuals you have created around yourself , they may even be aware of where you "tithe" your money .... thats right 'tithe.'
I know lots of people who tithe to a tobacco company , others to a brewery , some people I know invest greatly , in outfits , football paraphenalia, movies,etc..etc.

Where or to whom does your passion go on a day by day basis and is it of any eternal significance?

Let me encourage you to be passionate about the things that brought life, energy , discussion and
confronting light to the things that made JESUS passionate when He was on earth.
Healing, Salvation, Obedience , Prayer , God's Word, Fasting,Compassion, Mercy, Grace , Holy living,Worship,Unflinching obedience, +++++++++(so much more)

Psalm 69:9 '' ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE CONSUMES ME ......." Check your holy passion temperature , and see how it stands when you reflect upon that of JESUS .

Praying for all my friends today ...... STAY HOT FOR GOD... DON'T SELL OUT , BACK DOWN OR COOL IN YOUR AFFECTION TOWARDS HIM ...HE NEEDS YOU .

JESUS IS MUCH BIGGER & BETTER THAN WE THINK.....SO LET US CHANGE OUR THINKING

Provoking FAITH today :
. Be pregnant with God's Holy purposes.
.Our minds are either Biblically renewed by God's Word or we ,
are at war with God in the flesh,
. Jesus' authority comes in His commission to us, Holy Ghost power comes in our encounters with Him,
.If you measure miracle faith by your own experience you are using the wrong benchmark,
.If you are only praying & ministering in what you are good at ,you will convince yourself that 'near enough , good enough' , that is small thinking ,
. Actually start believing what Jesus said is TRUTH and what we can do in His Name,
. Pray for a large , faith filled vision & then have the courage to obey what Jesus shows to you,

THE CROSS ......WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE ?

When we reflect upon the CROSS of JESUS what do we see ? Jesus' resolve to go to the CROSS is powerful , life giving and world changing , what alternatively is our response ?
Take time to reflect and see yourself in this scene :It is in the crucified Christ that we see the immense love of a Saviour , there is nothing JESUS will not face , will not endure at the hands of His own creation.

But the cross reveals who we really are to , Judas : for whom money was more important than any relationship, perhaps the zealot who hopes to force Jesus' hand & manipulate Him into supporting his own ideology.Caiaphas; with his impeccable ecclesiastical logic that 'it is better for one man to die for the people'.
Pilate: the victim of circumstance- on the opposite side of the debate to Caiaphas but playing the same rules : someone's head must roll: if not Jesus it will be his own.
The cynical witnesses: who remembered only the incriminating words & forgot the message.
Peter with his inappropriate self-confidence.
The crowd: in it's mindless thirst for blood.
The soldiers :in their casual brutality.
The centurion: who admired from a distance.
The disciples who ran away.
We actually are all part of this human drama; there is a part in all of us which still says that the safest response to God is to kill Him whilst we have a chance, to get Him out of our lives, to make Him leave us alone, so we can have the security of our preferred politics, our 'cosy religion', our form of godliness but denying the power & His Lordship in our lives.

My cry this easter is to JESUS today :''Help us all not to run away, but to face the truth that our sin is more complicated, more insidious, more devastating than we could ever dream and that the CROSS JESUS died on is our only hope of forgiveness , healing , restoration , liberty , cleansing and eternal life with the Father .
Today .......this Easter ..... reach out to the only One Saviour of the world and be set free from yourself .

1 Corinthians 1 :18 "FOR THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS FOOLISHNESS TO THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING, BUT TO US WHO ARE BEING SAVED IT IS THE POWER OF GOD".

PROMOTE THE CAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST PASSIONATELY

If you are not practicing servant heart characteristics , it is most probable that you are becoming self-serving, and that is a very sad state to find oneself in . The world is full of self-serving individuals who outrageously promote self-interest at the expense of many others ' basic needs, this behaviour is pandemic and really the only way out is through the cross of Jesus and a sense of deep repentence.Promote the cause of Jesus Christ and you will be less tempted to promote YOURSELF! Here are some thoughts to ponder: 1.With a cause , Samson won many battles ; without one (other than himself), he couldn't beat the temptation posed by Delilah. 2. With a God-given cause, Saul conquered the kingdom; without one , he could not conquer his own jealousy. 3. With God's cause, David conquered Goliath; wothout one, he could not conquer his own lust. 4. With a cause sent by God , Elijah prayed down fire from heaven and beat 450 prophets of Baal; without one, he ran in fear from a solitary woman called Jezebel. 5. With a 'JESUS - CENTRED' cause , Simon Peter preached at Pentecost and 3.000 people were saved; without one and thinking only of himself he denied that he even belonged to the crowd that followed Jesus. Today whose cause are you serving ? Are you only interested in "self -preservation" or the eternal , lifegiving cause of JESUS CHRIST? Read Matthew 7:15-20

WHAT DO YOU SEE ? WHAT DOES GOD SEE ?

At times our vision is so obstructed by our own issues that we miss a great work of God ,as well as inner promptings from The Holy Spirit. All kinds of issues hinder us seeing Gods'vision as He wants it to be, apathy, busyness, own ideas , default character traits (not in God), and straight out sin.In Ezekiel 37 God in effect asks the prophet what did he see ....a big question especially from God , the maker of heaven & earth.Ezekiel responds with a spiritually intelligent response in verse 3 :",'O LORD GOD ,YOU KNOW...."Today I believe God is asking His people what do you see ???The issue here is if we see what God sees then we will more likely act & respond the way JESUS would, in our planning , our thinking , our actions , our choices. Today pray that you might see what JESUS sees and compare that to your own vision(physically, emotionally,spiritually)! It is risky , it will take courage, and most certainly obedience, but it will be as light is to darkness and water in a desert. Read EZEKIEL 37 today and be inspired, dare to pray "Help me Jesus to see as you see" , then buckle up with prayer , the Word & opportunities. I SEE A MOUNTAIN, YOU SEE A MIRACLE. I SEE A WASTELAND , YOU SEE A GARDEN. I SEE DRY BONES , YOU SEE AN ARMY. I SEE OBSTACLES , YOU SEE OPPORTUNITIES . I SEE MY SIN , YOU SEE THE BLOOD. I SEE A BABY , YOU SEE THE SAVIOUR. I SEE FAILURE & FEAR , YOU SEE REDEMPTION. I SEE A BEGGAR , YOU SEE A CHILD YOU CREATED. Today people what do you see ????

DON't STAY STUCK.......(I am back)

I am finally back after some months of challenging circumstances.Today I want to encourage you to not get stuck in the trap of comparing past glories with present realities. This trap can entice you to interpret the future by your past . In Haggai 2:3 the prophet asks some pertinent questions ; ''Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory ? And how do you see it NOW ? The people are complaining in Haggai 1 that a) the job is too large,2)the resources are far too small, 3) what they will build will not be as great as in the past. Good intentions or even complaints will not build the church of Jesus Christ ,rather prayer , commitment, intentional obedience & sacrifice , faithfulness and so much more is non-negotiably required. Dear friend in Christ go from GLORY TO GLORY ... NOT GLORY TO INERTIA OR GUTTER, Jesus needs His church to be "ON" in this season of history , we cannot afford to fumble this eternal baton .
